Kabete "Vet Lab" has a scenario of beautiful Flame trees and a course that
overlooks the bordering coffee plantation.
The
Veterinary Laboratory Golf Club is situated in Lower Kabete Rd and 0.6
Kilometers from The Nairobi University. Originally, a Laboratory was built
in 1910, and five years later, a Research Plant station with two schools
were built. This later facilitated an idea from a group people among them
Eric Tilley to allow for a golf course.
Thus
in 1946, the Vet. Lab Golf Course came into being. The course's nine-holer
lies on 55 acres. The greens are remarkably large with good surfaces.
The
Golf Club hosts two of the biggest events; namely, The Kabete Foursomes
Men's Invitational and The Kenya Breweries Festival of Golf. Club matches
between members and visitors can easily be arranged on request by the Club's
Secretary. |
