lasting contribution to golf lingo when she returned to Scotland from
France after the death of her first husband, Francis in 1565. Accompanying
the queen were a crew of cadets, sons of French noblemen who served as
pages. She often played the Scottish courses attended by her cadets ---
which her countrymen pronounced "caddie" |
